This page explains what data this website processes when you visit, why, and what rights you have.
In short: the site sets no cookies, runs no tracking scripts, and builds no profile of you.

Who is responsible
Gabin Maxime Nguegnang, Munich, Germany, runs this website and is the controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For any question about your data, email me:
Hosting by Cloudflare
Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, hosts this website and delivers every page. To do that, Cloudflare's servers process what your browser sends with each request:
- your IP address
- the date and time of the request
- the page or file requested
- your browser and operating system (the user agent)
- the page you came from, if your browser sends it
Cloudflare uses this data to deliver pages, keep the site secure, and block attacks. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: my legitimate interest is a website that loads reliably and stays secure. Without your IP address, the page can't reach your browser.
Cloudflare processes this data on my behalf, under a data processing agreement as Article 28 GDPR requires. It doesn't publish a fixed retention period. Its privacy policy says it keeps such data only as long as its purposes require.
Visitor statistics
To know how many people visit per day, week, and month, I use the traffic statistics Cloudflare builds from the same server data. I see totals only, such as visits per day, countries, and the pages viewed.
No script runs on your device for this, and nothing is stored on it. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: my legitimate interest is knowing whether the site reaches its readers.
Cookies and storage on your device
This website sets no cookies.
If you switch between the light and dark theme, your browser saves that choice under the name "theme", so the next page opens in the same theme. The entry holds only the word "light" or "dark" and never leaves your device. You can delete it in your browser settings.
That storage is strictly necessary for a function you asked for, so it needs no consent (Section 25(2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act, TDDDG).
If you email me, Cloudflare Email Routing receives the message and forwards it to the provider that hosts my mailbox. I use your address and your message only to reply to you.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR when your message is about a contract. I delete the conversation once it's finished, unless a legal duty requires me to keep it.
Data processed in the United States
Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the United States, so your data may be processed there. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. On July 10, 2023, the European Commission decided that this framework ensures an adequate level of protection (Article 45 GDPR).
Links to other websites
Links to GitHub, LinkedIn, X, Google Scholar, and other sites load nothing until you click them. Once you're on another site, its own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- get a copy of the data I hold about you (Article 15 GDPR)
- have incorrect data corrected (Article 16 GDPR)
- have your data deleted (Article 17 GDPR)
- have processing restricted (Article 18 GDPR)
To use any of these rights, email me. I make no automated decisions about you and build no profile of you.
Your right to object
All processing on this page rests on my legitimate interest. You can object to it at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21 GDPR).
Complaints
You can complain to any data protection authority (Article 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for me is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
